Queen of Thorns is needed in a plant deck mainly because it is an easy to summon and very useful synchro monster. If you activate "Black Garden" after you summon her, your opponent will have to pay 1000 life points to summon a monster, and it will get its attack points halved by the effect of the Garden. This creates an interesting mind game, causing the opponent to become very nervous because of their use of life points to play monsters that cant kill your plants anyway. Very good, but kind of frail. 4 Stars.

Can be destroyed fairly easy, but it kills while its on the field, especially if you use a plant deck like i do.
