how is this worthless?!
someone in an old review posted that this is worthless, how come? hard to cast it when your opponents run out of mana?not really. Great card for great price, great for EDH.

also, most of the good tutors are banned, in legacy at least, so for people that want to play in tournaments this is not a bad card.

The people that rate this bad, as said, must not either (a) plan ahead or (b) ever play edh. Because in EDH this card is practically a must, seeing as though you can only have one of everything, another search card is crucial!

You guys who rate this below 4 really don't know the game very well, do you?
Obviously no one would play this card if they knew their opponent could counter it, so I don't know what you're making such a fuss about. Besides, if you plan to play it on turn three, a decent opponent would have all his lands tapped during your turn from playing his own cards. A playable Tutor is never a bad thing, and this one's downside is easily avoided. Like reviewer #2 said, this is one of the best ways to set yourself up for a killer combo, or to find that Darksteel Colossus that's been hiding at the bottom of your deck.

I thinks reviewer #1 is a real moron. This card is truly great for getting out big bashers, not to mention really cheap creature cards if your losing a match to a lack of creatures. I definately feel this is a good card, and I also have one in my deck.

If you want a decent tutor this one is ok for it's cost (money wise), however it is overcosted (mana wise) and easily countered. Not very good unless you're a budget player.

It's a card that lets your opponents counter it as soon as you play it. Woohoo! Seriously, if you really want a quick black tutor, it's worth the extra money for a Vampiric Tutor.

One of the worst cards I've ever seen in the history of Magic rares. I got one in a pack and boy was I angry, not only because Rhystics' are usually dumb, but because this one is especially worthless.
