Phytohydra + Lure (+Primal Rage if you're really mean)

WOW, I found Protean Hydra's big brother! I bought a selesnya deck JUST so I can use this card! For the price (both in dollars and mana), this card can't be beat.

Ew I don't know why I said pariah's shield directs the damage to your opponent. It directs it to phytohydra, making it stronger. Whatever, just buy phyto if you own a Selesnya deck. You'll love it.

great card for a selesnya deck, the only problem is that if you use a shielding plax on it, it can't be the target of spells or abilities. that means creatures can't attack it, so it would still be a 1/1. now, wait until its like 13/13 and play something like horned helm (+1/+1 and trample) or fists of ironwood (trample and saprolings?), then you can play shielding plax.

like the others have said, shielding plax and pariah's shield make one of the best combos i have ever seen. first off, your phytohydra cant be killed by creatures, and because of shielding plax, cant be the target of anything at all. now theres no way to kill this unstopable creature. and with pariah's shield all damage done (or in this case, attempted) is redirected at your opponent. great addition to anyones selesnya deck, i would also recommend autochthon wurm and ambush commander. they dont have anything to do with phyto, just more great cards to check out.

This card is unstoppable. No damage can be dealt to it at all. All that happens is that it gets more and more powerful. I love this card. All my friends utterly despise it. Sure, it can easily be destroyed or removed from the game but all that can be fixed with 3 mana. Shielding Plax (Enchanted creature can't be the target of spells and abilities your opponnts control). With that, no one can stop it. Unless they destroy the Shielding Plax. But that's why they made cards like that. So no one can destroy everyone unopposed. Makes the game a little more fun.

Come on People.
If you know what Pariah's Shield does then this is the perfect card to equip.
Pariah's shield redirects all damage that would be dealt to you to equiped creature wich will boost phytohydra up.

I'll just throw up a 3 for it's potential with other cards. Attacking isn't targeting at all by any means. This isn't yugioh or pokemon, you don't attack each other's creatures. All attacks are directed towards the player and you choose who you want to block or if you even want to block at all.
