A long time ago I opened one pack and got him! Hitmonchan is my favorite Pokémon! It's such a monster of a card too! If only it wasn't moved out of rotation :(

This is damn-near perfection. You've got a 100hp basic (drool, drool, drool), which needs 1 fighting energy to do 10 damage to 2 pokemon on turn one. Nice. Combine that with the fact that it has a revamped version of ''strikes back'' from base set Machamp, only doing 10 more damage; thus can inflict up to 40 damage by the end of turn one! Then 60 damage for 1FF? It's a dark type, but it needs fighting energy, so can go into fighting decks and get around resistance. It's ex rule is perfectly justified. Oh, and only ONE RETREAT COST, TOO!
