Premium Deck Series: Fire & Lightning (MTG)

Just received this deck yesterday. This deck is great. The foil look makes these cards really stand out. I'm looking forward to playing this deck against some of my really competitive friends.

This is far better than the first Premium Deck Series. If you were to try to buy the good cards in this deck (mainly Ball Lightning, Chain Lightning, Grim Lavamancer, Figure of Destiny), you would probably pay more than $25 (current price for deck)! It is a great value for all these awesome red cards, and foil too! I got one of these for Christmas and tried against my friend's deck (which was a decent Standard deck) and owned it. I loved it so much I decided to build a legacy burn deck based off it, which needed another 3 of course for the playsets of chain lightning and such. I also was able to use the junkier cards for a peasant version, since chain lightning is a common... (ironically chain lightning was a card I tried to get a year ago when I started and wanted a burn deck, but it was too rare and costly so I gave up on the deck...funny how that worked out...).
Ball Lightning, Boggart Ram-Gang, Cinder Pyromancer, Figure of Destiny, Fire Servant, Grim Lavamancer, Hellspark Elemental, Keldon Marauders, Mogg Fanatic, Browbeat, Chain Lightning, 4 Lightning bolt, Price of Progress, and Reverberate...all amazing cards. The only burn cards I wanted that weren’t in this deck are Incinerate and Magma Jet (maybe Seal of Fire), shame they aren’t in here but they don't cost much and would make the deck too amazing. Overall, it is a great set and future Premium Series will have trouble beating this one. Great cards with nice foils and a nice spindown die too!

I got to say I really enjoy this deck, its fast and powerful...not to mention the 1 mana cost creature that is a 6/1 with haste. I played my friend with it after she beat my white/green deck and really beat her bad with just the basic starter with no additions. If you like to win quick this deck works well.

Nice selection of cards, great for newcomers or those coming back from a hiatus. The foiling process is nice, the best I've seen out of all the foils I own. It's subtler, with the foiling only on the artwork and border of the text pane, which is a more elegant look in my personal opinion. All in all, it's a fine addition to any casual player's collection.

first time i saw this deck was last week when me and some friends were playing magic and it performed really well in multi player when my buddy used it.
and i used it one on one when my friend let me use it and i loved it. very good spells, well put together, and its all foil, so theres also the attractive look to it too ;)
