What's better than mutants? Mutants with GUNS! Bishop 'ports into the fight guns a blazing, literally with an SP that should be used before it gets lost on click #2. The problem with the trait is two fold - first it's a DPA, which leaves Bishop wide open for retaliation. The second downer is that the SP lets him take a ranged combat ACTION, which means he can't use RCE to blast someone for 5 damage in the face.
The time hopping mutant has two TAs to help the cause, with X-Men granting healing and PD making him support ranged attackers.
He's somewhat costly for a 300 point game, at 140 points he's just about breaking the bank especially for someone with a weak and unreliable defense. Okay, maybe it's not so weak - Toughness is decent, but Energy Absorption needs a little something more - there's nothing to stop a ground pounder from slapping Bishop around. Getting close to this NRA member may not seem like the best option when Sharpshooter is present, but it's a lot better alternative to shooting the mutie and having him heal 2 AND gain a +1 to his stats. Overall, he's not enough man to be a one man army, and without damage reduction or evasion rear dial, he's too fragile to justify the price in low point games. Play him at 400 points or more with the other gun loving muties like Forge, Cable, or Fantomex, and watch him shine!
