Flavor Text | The intricate dynamics of Rundvelt Goblin affairs are often confused with anarchy. The chaos, however, is the chaos of a thundercloud, and direction will sporadically and violently appear. Pashalik Mons and his raiders are the thunderhead that leads in the storm. |
Description | The Alpha set was designed by Richard Garfield and released in August of 1993. This set consists of 295 cards, 74 common, 95 uncommon and 116 rares with 10 lands. Alpha cards have black borders. There is no set symbol for this set. The easiest way to discern an Alpha card is the more rounded corner. The estimated print run was 2,600,000 cards. Cards of note in this set are many, including the Power Nine cards at the top of the heap. without simple cards there is no game! you just cant whip out monsterous 6/6 cards and win, its simple and isnt dragged down with any affect.

Games have been won and lost by these goblins, the simplicity and pure power of them is only out matched by the other raiders of the Erg form, but Erg's raiders have a defect, these are just pure perfection, truly the more superior raiders of all magic.

I agree this is easily the most aggresive card ever made. I love these.

This card has the most potential of any card in magic. How can you argue that this is not the best card of all time?

I agree that the Raiders' simplicity is what makes it worthwhile, but in a Goblin deck there are any number of 1cc cards that are strictly better (Raging Goblin, haste; Boros Recruit, first strike; Goblin Mountaineer, mountainwalk; Mogg Sentry, pumpability; and so on). Still, it combos with Muraganda Petroglyphs...
