This is the classically seminal "combat tricks" / pseudoremoval card! Sure, better stuff -- like Chains of Vapor -- has come along, but more often than not, they play Chains like it were an unsummon. To me that is a testament to the timelessness of Unsummon. I play this card in UB faerie rogues for saving my chumps and for the ability to reuse enters the battlefield triggers. Great card!

Nothing like watching someone tap 5 mana for a creature and just sending it back. Not as good as Counterspell, but it does cost less. Also, sometimes the ability to send your own creatures back is sufficient. It's the versatility that really makes this card good.
