I use it with the Helm, Sword, and Shield of Kaldra for infinite mana loop in a deck with Myr Galvanizer, Myr Proagator and Palladium Myr for even more loop while abusing Staff of Domination.

Good use in a black deck, but try it in a saproling deck with doubling season, supply and demand, twilight drover, juniper order ranger, etc.... You don't need all cards to pull off nice combos. even without the doubling season you can turn 10 saps into 20 and make the drover +10/+10 and the ranger +20+20!! Throw in a fists or ironwood for trample + a few more saps.... this card rocks!!

no reviews? this card is a great mana producer for colors that might lack some constant mana production. I have three in my mono black deck, yes along with dark rituals, a breeding pit, and a bog initiate. sack a 0/1 thrull to it, convert the mana through my bog initiate, and drain their life, fun little combo.

This card has so many possibilities:)
I use it in a sliver deck, just for the fun of it. It's lovely combined with sliver queen, heart sliver and gemhide sliver.
Pay 2 colourless, get a token. Tap the token using heart and gemhide, produse one mana, sack the creature, get two more = Infinite mana = infinite slivers. (it's much faster just killing them, tough)

i use 4 of them in a deck i like to call whack-it-and-sack-it.. no creatures, just enchantments and spells to steal opponents' creatures.. the altar comes in handy for obvious reasons..
