If your opponent can destroy him in battle they'll have to worry about the creature that you put the +1/+1 counters on.

Excellent card.

Nastiest trick of the decade: Put Jugan in play, then a tornado elemental and put all the 1-1 counters on the tornado elemental.

Next turn, you have an 11-11 creature that will deal damage as though it weren't blocked.

It's a great card that basically leaves itself behind when killed.

Great card for a decent cost, I mean when it dies it doesn't really die, since your left with 5 +1/+1 counters.

I like creatures that still help after they're dead. If I lay down a 5/5 it generally doesn't last too long. And actually for Green, I'd say you're not doing too poorly by purchasing a 5/5 flyer for 6 mana. At least, not until Shards of Alara messes up the power scale a bit. Most people won't agree with me but as for the oriental Star dragons, I like this one and the Blue one best.

great for a dragon deck with cryptic gateway and dragon arch

it's good, not great, it wont become a staple in type 2 because of its triple green in the casting cost, so it'll only work in mono green, which doesn't look to powerful right now.
