I love the card. I run a black blue control mill deck atm, and this card is perfect. A 1/8 Flyer is awesome for taking on the bigger 6+ creatures that are coming up. The gain life is a non issue due to the fact that I win by making you unable to draw a card, not take away your life points.

Getting this kind of defense out on turn 2 is often indispensable, and there are many ways to get around the life gain; the best example being Kavu Predator.

4 of these in a group deck works great. Your friends will be all smiles

oops my bad. made a mistake on my earlier post. Rain of gore only makes spells controllers die not spells that make your oppenent gain life.
