Force of Will > Mana Drain. Force is playable in a lot more decks and the tempo advantage is unparalleled.

This card is a excelent example of card advantage. A 2/1 creature that returns a card from your graveyard of your choosing. The combos are unlimited with regrowth effects. In response to the first few posts. This would be one of the best uncommon creatures printed since Force of Will is not a creature. The best uncommon card ever printed was Mana Drain.

good card, simply put. you can snatch a creature and do what you will. play a phalanx from ravnica. discard it in a black green deck to pay for costs (volrath, the fallen for example), or any deck really. and why does wotc make such good cards.. what i mean is, it will probably be banned in the future

Awesome. Works great in a Slide Deck, where you can just keep putting it into play. Oh and A. from out of the Darkness? Force of Will is not a creature.

I love this card, who can forget the look on your opponent's face when you use Eternal Witness and bring back your Tooth and Nail? I sure do! You can also pull off a-pretty-much-impossible-infinite combo with two of these, three tangleroots, aether flash and goblin sharpshooter. Have one eternal witness in your hand, and one in play. Kill the one in play off with the shapshooter and the sharpshooter will untap (tap it again and deal damage to your opponent), tap three green to play the eternal witness in your hand, and return the dead eternal to your hand. The Tangleroots will activate and add GGG to your mana pool, then the aether flash will deal two damage to the new eternal witness kill it and untap the sharpshooter. Tap the sharpshooter and deal 1 damage to the oppnent, spend the three mana to play the eternal witness in your hand. The Tangleroots will activate and add GGG to your mana pool, then the aether flash will deal two damage to the new eternal witness kill it and untap the sharpshooter..... and so on. Oh, hell just have fun with it!

Yes, it is the second best uncommon creature. Psychatog is the best.

really? what's the best one i'm wondering previous reviewer? well, this card is so good i had to put it in two, count them TWO decks. now as i only play 1.5 and own only 8 decks this was quite momentous. my mono-green deck lost four 'phantom centaur' from its sideboard and a 'gurzigost' maindeck was replaced my another 'genesis.'
my five color deck lost four 'basking rootwalla.' not a broken card , but alot like 'force of will' or 'wasteland' in that just about everyone will be playing it. possibly broken if the mana cost didn't include two green. why does WOTC moan and groan about there not being enough diversity and then print a card like this? although it may force some people to play green who normally wouldn't. hmmmmmmmm......

This is the second best uncommon creature ever printed. For just 1GG, you get a 2/1 body with a built-in regrowth. With Recurring Nightmare and Reya, this card is great. It should have been a rare, and its printing was a mistake.

Some might argue Kitchen Finks is a better uncommon creature. But this card is amazing for sure.
