You all heard of putrefax right. Pretty good infect creature, Because you are dealing -1/-1 counters and poisen counters, and putrefax has trample. Use garruks final in an infect deck. Then win the game.

You know after M11 I thought he was a bad planeswalker compared to the rest. I honestly believe that green needs a new planeswalker for standard, all we have is Nissa and Garruk and of the two Garruk is the most usable. Face it, without elves Nissa is nothing and even elf decks are cutting her out now. But Garruk now he's found some purpose in the U/G Fauna Shaman decks. Play about 3-4 copies, the ability to produce a 3/3 beatstick each turn in addition to the creatures you're playing is huge for board advantage. Sit him next to Jace and you got your opponent on lockdown. I still think green needs a new walker but until Wizards gives green some love, Garruk is the Lebron James of the team. Carrying it on his back. 100 stars buddy :)

Hehehehe, ... I don't think that two Shock will be used to kill Garruk so easily... I think you don't have any knowledges about how to play Burn deck/Burn cards. Shock it twice? 2 cards kill 1 card? Not good at all, dude.... Besides, if Garruk use his Overrun ability, he'll be dead anyway. And before the effect +3/+3 resolved, use the two Shock to toast the creatures!!!!

His abilities are green down to a tee, helps with mana (especially if those lands are attached with overgrowth or fertile ground), token gen and then his ultimate ability is overrun, it normally wins the match in the right green deck :)
Sure he can get burned and removed but so can almost EVERYTHING ELSE...

First, if you feel the need to knock a card, then you haven't ever played it. Second, the PROS play this card. Garruk, you get 73 stars from me, because I can :)

"Worst planeswalker"? Have you ever actually played with this card? It's very and efficient. At the WORST this is a four mana overrun with suspend 1. He's mana accel, a creature generator, and a cheap overrun. Great card.

Disregard the first comment, as it was written by me when I was still a n00b. Garruk's a good card.

I am so suprised that no one has reviewed this card. He is undisputably the best plainswalker.
All three of his abilities are super useful. The first provides big mana acceleration and allows for the "overrun"
abilty the very next turn. The second puts big cratures in play which first defend him and you and then smash your oponent a 3/3 for 0 mana. Yes please! And his final ability is a game winner! The best green card in the Lorwyn block. The best Plainswalker. And my personal favorite card in all respects most particularly in terms of intra-synergy,raw power and beautiful artwork!

I just got my hands on 2 garruks last week, and i will tell you, hands down the most powerful planeswalker, i play him with Golgari Rot farm, and i find myself useing his first ability so often i never even want to use his 2nd 2, but thats not to say i dont... i play with an elf deck, make plenty of them throw down a few elvish prom's and use his last ability... game over. i mean doesn't get much better then him...

By far the best Planeswalker. No matter what anyone says it will beat people any day. However, I still like all the other Planeswalkers as well...

Behind tarmogoyf, this is the second best green card to be released lately. It is a house in any matchup. It annihilates control with a stead supply of beaters, a wincon against aggro, and acceleration. It fits into midrange decks, aggressive decks and just about everything else. If you are running green, chances are that you should be running this and tarmogoyf.

Two direct damage spells is the answer to most creatures, and any card that absorbs two of em helps your green creatures immensely. I wouldn't consider dying to two shocks a weakness. If it is not killed by your next turn it is an Overrun at 2C w/suspend 1. If your opponent reads it that way they may mass removal your creatures but thankfully this guy gives you more mana to restock your board or consistent, solid 3/3 tokens to take back the initiative. Mana acceleration is good in any deck, the other abilities are icing on the cake.

The most playable Planeswalker out of the five. The ability to make a 3/3 beast token is unreal, because it can protect itself with chump blockers, thought if you are playing green, this shouldn't be a problem. Untapping 2 lands is also very useful, because by the turn after he is cast, you could be in the 7CC range, or more, depending on the lands you untap. Last ability is a win condition, if you are having trouble drawing one, though the first 2 abilities should be your bread and butter.

I would say this card and mAster of the wild hunt are pretty evenly matched. This card is a little easier to get rid of but is more versatile. Master of the wild hunt does not have as many options but can be played against more decks and isn't as easy to get rid of but dosen't compare to garruk in most of the aspects but all and all I think that they have purposes in each kind of deck. Play this card If your looking for some versatility such as mana acceleration or slow token generation while mAster of the wild hunt is for damage and fast token generation

pretty good card...my 2nd fav plainswalker 2nd only to jace....draw advantage...and a beastly lookin guy lol...ohh and actually u can shock it.....if u look up basics.....plainswalkers are basicly "another player" ...so u play shock if ur opponent doesn't counter it...or ..redirect it..u can hit the plainswalker.

Turn Four you put out this bad boy, then +1 and play a doubling season. Copy enchantment next turn, followed by -1. You've got 4 3/3 tokens on turn 5 and a cost-free overrun on turn 6... Nice nice

Pretty solid Planeswalker. U/G decks are probably going to lock most standard burn decks down. Combo this guy with a Guile, and you may as well hand your opponent a revolver with one bullet in it and leave the table. However, this guy really doesn't do well in multiplayer ... What good will untapping two lands do you when you need six untapped to deal with countering? Still, he's a strong card, especially in standard draft or sealed; any planeswalker is, but I'd rather have mana open than cards, and again, U/G has enough control from the U side. Pair this guy w/Liliana and you can create a DEVASTATING deck; think about it.

It's different from Call of the Herd, but it's good for the same reason: Card Advantage. With one card you can produce three threats. Call of the herd fits better in the mana curve because you get the first threat turn 3 and a second one turn 4, Garruk gets the first threat turn 4, the second turn 5 and the third turn 6, 3x 3/3 for only 4 mana. That's pretty nice. It'll see a lot of play.

Prob the worst planeswalker because all i have to say is Kamahl Fist of Krosa same abilities basically and u cand do the overrun ability as many times as ur mana pool allows.

this card is mediocre at best, i bought 4 to put in a U/G scyrb and force deck and found him slow against B/U
control and just about any creature rush deck.Next stop for this guy was a B/G discard rack tarmogoyf deck, where i spent about 20 matches wishing it was a call of the herd every time i got him on the draw.If this is the best Planswalker out of lorwyn i think i'll wait to see the next set on paper before i rip a box of morningtide

Three words. Shock. it. twice.
And that's if your opponent opens with his +1 ability.
Three stars cuz all planeswalkers have some inherent coolness.
