This kindly old lady is a very nice card. She grants a creature of yours protection from the desired colour, and she has a wonderfully low casting cost to play. In addition to making creatures harder to block and easier to defend with, her colour protection ability can be used to destroy nasty negitive enchantments Opponents put on your monsters. Her family really does protect all families. ;)

my granny can protect my creatures and make pie. it's fun killing some one with an old woman.

another white one-drop that just takes the cake and eats it too. i mean, if you aren't playing mass creature removal this 'mutha' can really make you hurt. my personally favourite combos include 'standard bearer' for card advantage and 'wall of glare' just to watch your opponent take 5-10 turns trying to get some damage through, what the hey, throw in a worship or two.....just for fun....heh heh heh

play this mother first turn and your opponent is sooooo dead!!!! protection is so awesome man!!!!!

mother of runes combo with a veteran bodyguard great combo

combine with powerful creatures for best effect. has worked very well for me so far. only downside is you have to beware of artifacts
