Just came out of big battle and need to produce a big, nearly unstoppable monster? This card is for you! And it generates mana. And its a land so if Svogthos, the creature, dies; its still a land. The only weakness is if your opponent has something like Hell Dozer or something to destroy lands.

Although far from the most numerically devestating cards in ravnica, It's humor in play bumps it up a notch for me anyway. After your opponent nukes all the creatures to keep you from hammering himher this card has a suprise factor which is difficult to explain. Something about a false sense of security(Damnationwrath of god) and a neverfailing understimation of nonbasic land(Duel-lands don't normally turn into creatures).
