Can't be Countered is a very desirable trait, especially in Tournament formats; because there's always atleast one Control Deck that's pretty much unstopable until you drop this or Combust their beatstick.

crazy...this just screws faeires up. it can't be countered, and it'll kill probably all of their creatures. 2 damage to players is nice too...this is especially insane in 5-color control. 1 extra red mana is definitely worth it for instant speed, damage to players, and non-counterability...

This is amazing, for one extra mana on pyroclasm you get damage to players, instant, AND uncounterable. One mana CAN make a big difference, but I think it's worth it, and 3 isn't bad anyway for a potential board sweeper.
