Excellent when paired with the Vivid lands from Lorwyn. Mana of any color, anyone?

You guys aren't thinking right. Use this with forbidden orchard or gemstone cavern. Then it taps for any color you want. :)!!!!!!

This card works great in type 1 with dual lands, I like to run 2 or 3 of these in 3-5 color decks.

Reflecting pool allows you to play cards with multiple color specific mana costs (i.e. Counterspell, Force of Nature) in mana-light or mana-balanced decks. It can be very useful...

This land is good in combination with land such as City of Brass and the mana conversion lands, since it gets their mana types withouth the drawbacks.

It's not bad, but think about it... This card cannot produce mana on its own, meaning it will take you another land and another turn to be able to produce all 5 colors. By using City of Brass instead, you essentially get a 1 turn advantage over this. As far as having to pay 1 life to the City, that is barely a drawback at all. One turn can, and often does, make the difference between winning and losing, but 1 life will rarely make that difference.

Excellent card. But I just don't see it as rare-worthy. :/

useful in multicolor decks, but you have to have one of the lands already which makes it less useful
