Sacrificing a land in order to draw a card can be a good choice in late game where you've usually got a lot of excess lands.
If nothing else, put counters on it with Coretapper and Energy Chamber and draw free cards.

Not very good. In my opinion sacrificing a land is too large of a cost just to draw a card.
