Incredible!!! Flying, Trample, and Shroud (basically)!! That means bye-bye to: swords to plowshares, counterspell, pact of negation, force of will, mortify, putrefy, remand, and terror. As far as cruel edict goes this card requires blue and green mana, so you're pretty much going to have another creature on the table (with 7 mana out by then) or a way to counter it completely. All in all phenomenal card!! ;)

This card... haha... don't even get me started on this card. This vard is so excellent that 5 stars isn't enough. It is a 6/6 for 7 with flying, trample, and can't be the target of spells/abilities. Only downside: can't be pumped up unless you have a Simic Guildmage in play. Simic Guildmage doesn't target creatures so you can move tons of +1/+1 counters onto it. You can't move Auras onto it though because the ability won't take effect. All in all, this card is superb.

I would just like to point out that Graft's text reads, in part, "Whenever another creature comes into play, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this permanent onto that creature." Note the lack of the word "target"

It's a huge, evading, trampling, untargetable fatty for very little mana considering his abilities. Besides, as for "cruel edict" and the like, by the time you've cast this guy at 7 mana, you're bound to have at least one other creature out. On a side note, with Simic Guildmage you can put enchantments like moldervine cloak onto this guy even with his untargetability because the guildmage doesn't target. Look it up in the Oracle rules.

Ehhhhh, cruel edict can't target (hence the can't be target of spells or ablities part) but he also can't be pumped but if you did that your opponent has all rights to beat you over the head with an iron rod. Still he is unable to die unless targeted in your hand by a coercion or something else that makes you discard him. That makes me wonder if elvish piper can summon him out for nothing? hummmmm.............

This is one of the old 6/6 7 mana fliers times ten.

If you're playing a reanimate deck and somebody throws out cruel/diabolic edict this guy is usually the only guy on the board and he goes bye bye. There are other ways to play him besides hard casting, you know.

Cruel Edict targets the player, not the creature. Since it targets the player, if this is the only creature they have to choose from, it's gone. Still a very good card though.
