The ultimate defense, plus it's a plant so that makes it extra cool. It's easy to splash, red for self damaging replication, white to play next it's brother Phytohydra, etc. I have two Sprouting Phytohydra in my Plaant deck. Awesome art too!!

Throw in a Doubling Season and this card becomes the only thing you need for defense. The cost can be worked around if you put in some mana-ramp, making the only real downside of the card its low toughness.

it is also good for trample. its the one of the only stall cards that deals with trample other than fog...

This card is pretty decent for a lot if reasons, but I'd really wish it was 0/4 or even just 0/3.. probably rocks in limited, but fails at pretty much anything else...

An almost indestructible defense wall with three huge flaws. It can't block fly so flying cretures still work. It can't be destroyed by damage but it can by monster destroying spells. And it costs way too much.
