Undermine

best counterspell in the game. i play with 4 undermines, 4 absorbs, and 4 force of wills. plus a few others like regular counterspells and mana drains. but nothing compares to the gold ones in invasion. they are worth every penny.

I have 4 of these cards in my Blue and black deck and is one of my best counterspells!!!

This is defenetly one of the better counter spells in this realm of magic.

this is alot better than alot of the cards in inasion. i play with black and blue deck with 3 of these. then 2 night scape and 2 storm scape masters with 2 ragman and 2 megrim's . look i usally get 10 mana out before i win( most of the time) have 4 blue and 6 black mana return 2 creatures then discard them with the ragman's thats four damage from the megrim's

This card is another key card in my undefeated deck

Many people put a comparison between this card and Absorb. In my opinion, this card difinitely gets the gold for that there's many powerful white life-gainers such as Heroes' Reunion and Gerrard's Verdict. This card is a combination of 2 of the best cards in the game: Counterspell and Lighting Bolt, wrapped up in one golden package. Best of all, the damage cannot be prevented or misdirected because the opponent looses life instead of taking damage. I've been playing with a Blue/Black deck since Invasion came out and it rarely looses, as Undermine and Phyrexian Scuta dilivers a powerful punch to your opponent. Fun for you. Not for them.

What about daze, foil and other free counterspell ?
