holy cow this card is powerful. i personally use it in a goblin/zombie deck and it has led to some pretty vicious 3rd turn kills. also works as a great backup to any other kill combos. i personally use it with a goblin recruiter, usually i can get a brightstone ritual to get the manna to play it.
fun times for all... except for whoever you are killing at the time. >.<

There is a deck based around this. It is pretty solid, but it wilts in the path of land destruction cards.
Use chrome mox, search for land cards (rampant growth, kodama's reach, etc.) and syphon ALL of your land cards out. It's ability will take effect. If your opponent somehow survives the attack, you get to rearrange your entire library to your liking. Good fun. Turn 3-5 kills.

this card is fantastic its has thousands of great combo's heres just 2: the charbelcher and land tax:- syphon out all but one of your lands then charbelch away! the quicker method however is the charbelcher and mana severance:- remove all but 1 of your lands from the game ( apart from the ones you need to run the charbelcher ) and presto bango your opponent will be blubbering like a baby!

i cant give the card 5 stars simply because its ridiculous power has some restrictions that need to be encorporated into the entire deck or its power is just lost. its power in legacy is amazing, just the tutors that are lacking a little which keep it in check more than the opposing deck. you will find yourself dieing to spoils of the vault more than your opponent finishing you off. pithing needle is not your friend. all that to one side though, they need to have these cards and need to hope they get a turn before you can "go off" and give them that smug grin while at the same time trying to look innocent - giving them that "what did i do" look... the kind you get when a little kid has trashed your favourite shirt, and you both know he did it. anyway, i digress - in vintage it can be used to much better effect with its acceleration and tutors being a lot more powerful. using charbelcher and mana severance in your gifts pile can be a nice win condition for gifts based decks too. it's also a colourless source of removal in something like extended - though its true power is really abused in the afore-mentioned legacy and vintage formats.

I think I just found out why goblin recruiter was banned. It makes me angry that staples of my decks for years are suddenly banned in extended and other formats (recruiter, dark ritual) because of new cards coming out, and the unseen combos with those cards. Me so sad.
