One of my favorite black creatures ever. A dark ritual and two in your opening hand almost guarntees an aggro win. And this guy is combo city. I've been using him since 1998, and I'm glad to se him back in print

Welcome to a good card. this card is not often featured in decks, but its good. its basically a free creature when you are at 3 mana. It can also be very nice if its in a opening hand with dark ritual and hypnotic specter. Cast dark ritual, then cast the priest of gix, and then follow up with hypnotic specter. There you go... two creatures down on your first turn.
