Very dangerous card indeed. It can easily hit the table with 10+ power and toughness, making it difficult to destroy in creature combat or with direct damage. Plus he's black so many creature removal spells won't work! Best way to deal with this one is put it in the graveyard before it reaches play-but of course, anybody will want to be running more than one. Oh, and did I mention that he regenerates too?

This card is in my second best deck, has glimpse the unthinkable to go along with it and a few other mill cards, you have a very hard to kill blocker while you mill them down, or if there open take them out.

In a casual multiplayer he's normally hilarious, seen them bigger than 40/40 in long games...cheap price and mana cost as well with one mana regen...:)

The best thing about this card is your opponent knows he will only make it stronger by killing your creatures!

I use 4 of these in a discard deck along with Grave Pact, Royal Assassin, and Cruel Edict. Forget about it! Think about all the creatures going to the graveyard from discards alone. It's a game finisher if I get it out.

this is one of my best cards and for a last minute card when all of you monstars are in your graveyard it realy helps as a last minute play to win your mach. dosent coast much mana and plus it has regeneration if the opponet somehow kills it which is real handy if you have him at the beging. i have beat many players when they thought they already won the mach but it saved me more than once, and it could save you too.

I would give this a 6 or 7 if the scale went that high. I mean good lord look at this thing. 4 mana for a ATLEAST 7 or 8/8 creature that gets bigger every time it kills something, PLUS the added goodness of being able to regenerate. I mean, you play 4 of these in a zombie deck or disease deck and your talking 4 15/15 regeneraters atleast

My bext deck is based around this card. I think that this card is great with out being cheap like some of these newer cards oout. Pull kill cards out then pull mortivore out. My deck contains 5 different creatures that hepl me do this 2 mortivores 2 guiltfeeders 3 absyal spector 1 hollow spector 1 bane of living all help either kill the oppenent clear the board or hand rape the opponent. This card is also an improvement on Lhurgoyf for one reason its black being green doesn't help Lhurgoyf who uses killl creature w/ green. Oh yeah if anyone lives in my area leave a message on this board. I hate tournaments to much netdecking

I can't believe how good this card is. I have it in my deck right now and it has absolutely worked miracles, and with a few Kirtar's Wraths to go along with it, it is virtually unstoppable.

A black Lhurgoyf?? The poor old green one donīt stand a chance - ok, the green one has 1 more point of toughness, but so what?? the black one regenerates and canīt be easily destroyd by terror or most of black spells. This could be better than a Juzam in a creature deck!

Four lands for a */* with regeneration not bad. But when his power and toughness equal the number of creature cards in a grave yard it is unbelievable. Black has the card buried alive, plus has always been good at putting creatures in the graveyard. This creature can become huge, and is hard to deal with.

Leyline the void doesn't really affect this card. With regenerate it never hits the graveyard to be removed. Good card though.

Very balanced, That's why I like it. If nothing else, it's a regenerating blocker early game, and a regenerting face-smasher mid-late game. However there are some things that screw this card, primarily anything that would get rid of the creatues in the grave, such as Leyline of the Void(mentioned by another reviewer) but it is also reduced to noting by a simple Remenice(sp?) But by no means is this a bad card, i use 2 of them in my black deck, he's helpful, but don't rely on him too much or you'll get your butt handed to you.

Personally i have never seen the use of this card except in Ub/B mill decks, and even then that is disrupted by Leyline of the Void. This card could be better if you were guarenteed that you can play it on the fourth turn instead of hoping you have killed enough creatures to make it worth the time. ohhh and side note, regeneration is nowhere near as good as people think cause it is either hideously expensive, or on a creature it doesn't matter if they live or die.
