Most commonly mentioned combo is of course Stasis. But why not use with Journey to Nowhere, O-Ring, or even Mangara of Corondor to exile permanents of your choice, then activate the Mastermind to bounce them back to your hand. Using an O-Ring to permanently exile a nonland permanent for effectively {2W}/{U} is nothing to scoff at. Other than that, I've used in conjuction with Sundering Titan until Master Transmuter was printed.

im going to play stasis. your turn, you don't untap. at the end of your turn i'll use mastermind to return stasis to my hand. i untap, then play stasis. wash, rinse, and repeat.

In addition to recycling comes-into-play abilities this card does a very good job at saving your creatures from lightning bolts and the like. It's just superb now that Zendikar introduced allies.
