The only answer to "Can't be countered" abilities, just send 'em back to where they came from fwaha! Banefire kill? I think not! Terra Stomper? Go home! Just hope you can come up with a kill before the next turn when they try it all over again, lol.

You are missing a very key point, he doesn't counter the spell. If someone plays a Banefire and puts more than five into it you can play him to return it to the players hand. The spell never goes off and it was never countered...

awsome card, but you ever notice briclot most famous card's (garruk and venser) both look bad

one of the most handy creatures ever made. its helped me out of many a jam

i think venser may be the best blue combo card ever! just pairing him with momentary blink is good enough, but what if you, say, threw him in a deck full of creatures that reacted to the blink, like loxodon hierarch, or mystic snake? try it and see what happens. rock on!

Excellent card, a little weak as a 2/2, but it's got flash and cand be used to counter/delay spells or bounce permanents back to your oponents hand. Even though it's legedary, if your in a situation were you need a counter spell and all you got is Venser and you already have one in play, you can still use it as a counterspell, but you will lose both Vensers of course.
