I think in multi player game this card is very good. The choice is just to nice. For 1 or 2 mana more you got a Blaze or a Mind Spring in the same spell!!

this is Niv-Mizzet in a nut shell. have him on the field, and draw as many cards as possible. Long live the Firemind!

This card is just what it says, you invoke the firemind! Using this card is like having Niv-Mizzet's power in your hand, literally! And plus, if you have a niv mizzet out on the field, you can forget that choice because any person with an ounce of knowledge in them will select the draw card ability, duh! With niv out, drawing cards is doing damage, without him there, you can do damage anyways with this card. it is perfect. MAY IZZET CONTINUE TO REIGN STRONG OVER ALL OF RAVNICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE BOW TO THE MIGHTY FIREMIND!

Invoke the Firemind is a good card in that you can choose what you want to do, and it is only limited by the amount of mana you have open. It is basically a fusion of Train of Thought/Pyromatics, and is only better than those cards individually when the X mana cost is >3, as it can be countered but the replicated versions of Train of Thought/Pyromatics require more than one counter to counter them all (Also, Pyromatics is an instant).
It is at its best late-game, when you have loads of mana available and a Gelectrode or three with a Niv-Mizzet on the field--then it's pretty much game if your opponent can't counter Invoke or kill Niv-Mizzet, who is the yin to Invoke's yang.

Yes, it is a very versatile card... But, the {XUUR} aspect seems a little too pricey. Had it been at Instant speed the cost would hardly seem like an issue to me. Or even {XUURR} and have it do both X cards and X dmg to a target at Sorcery speed. Although, the most balanced would probably be to simply make it {XUR}and keep it the same~
Overall a descent casual play card that is a little overpriced but a utility Cantrip/Removal/Burn at your disgression.

Not bad, though there is the problem in the fact that this card will run across mana issues (prevalant in decks that don't really have alternate ways to produce the mana such as U/R) so it runs out of things it can do unless you use it late and combined with niv-mizzet. So its just ok at best.
