Targeted graveyard removal for black. Black uses it's graveyard, and you often don't want to remove a whole graveyard. Sometimes something plops in your graveyard you don't like such as a creature with a Nether Spirit in your yard.. this allows you to at least remove ONE instead of everything. It also allows you to remove an annoying flashback card from someone's graveyard. Or something else nasty. AND it lets you draw an extra card. Relic Of Progenitus would be used over this in many cases but I think for consistency I'd much rather play this instead. It does what I want it to do and nothing I don't want it to do. For cases when Tormod's Crypt is just overkill.
