I disagree with Alec. This chard came out before newer cards like Browbeat.Orcish Librarian was a key component in the old Sligh decks. The idea is to use up every single mana, in your mana pool, every single turn. To get the most bang for your buck with your lands. When you had extra mana or were out of cards in your hand, in came Orcish Librarian to save the day. Nothing is worse than being on Turn 5 with no cards in your hand while your opponent is down to 2 life and you draw a land during your turn. Orcish Librarian helps make sure you don''t draw that land, but that you draw something like Lightning Bolt for the win.
