For vintage, it's very recommended card. For Legacy, great in one land-belcher deck. For extendeed until type 2, look for sorcery cards with "rebound" ability. It should be fun when playing Consuming Vapors, rebound Consuming Vapors, then Burning Wish and play the Vapors once more....

I agree with two guy above me... hehehehehe... and man, c'mon... For 1R that can put a sorcery card outside the game into your hand? It's great enough... If you want instant speed, it'll be 2RR or maybe 3RR... and I think Burning Wish is better than that...

Great card... Although it's a sorcery, it can bring the nasty card Yawghmoth's Will back and play again... This card is insane...!

In response to the dude above me, "What's wrong with Quicken?" Seriously? What's wrong with Quicken is that it's nowhere near the same caliber as this card, since it's completely conditional. Also, let's take your example to its logical conclusion: you Quicken your Burning Wish, tutoring up whatever sorcery you want. It's a slightly better play, because you then have two more mana open your next turn, but since it's a sorcery you would need a second Quicken to tutor up a sorcery and play it on your opponent's turn. You, sir, have just been PWNED by logic.

Yeah, but would also cost 3RR for an instant speed one. Anyway, what's wrong with quicken?
