just great. may as well be pro-red as well, at least that's the main reason it's in my extended sideboard. what a centaur should be.

I agree... I miss the old times when the combat step was the step where you won the game - when creature combat really mattered, and Giant Growths were all over the place, and green/white beatdown was a good way to go... Nowadays, 4th turn kills are way more frequent, and many people are playing decks with infinite combos.
Phantom Centaur was an awesome card back in the days. Protection from black + its damage prevention ability means that it's really tough to get rid of. I remember all black decks running Terror, and this was a really solid answer for it.
I sure hope Magic will return to that flavor some time in the future, and rely more on the good old static abilities such as flying, trample, first strike and haste

a strong arm and sword are just not what they used to be. it really doesn't matter whether the times are changing for better or worse.......but change it will......*sigh*
