If you weren't aware.... Mind Sculptor costs 4 CMC. Jace Beleren is 3 CMC. You drop your Jace 3rd turn, and then the decide if they want to play theirs, Jace Beleren is a Sculptor "killer". Helpful for card draw, and with Sun Titan, it's pretty solid. If they wanna eliminate both of the Jace's on the field, they can go for it.

This Jace may not look much since his brother (the Mind Sculptor) appears, but in some deck this card still give you increndible movements! I prefer to draw and draw at many times, and this Jace give me to dig my deck until my card revealed! I agree that if you combine with Top then he will be very useful by paying 1 colorless mana each turn. And If the Jace is stunned by Needle, then the Top still give you another chance... not depending on one Jace alone...

This Jace is rather weak since Jace the Mind Sculptor appears, but I always like him. Combine with Sensei's of Divining Top, he can give you "ponder" each turn. Fetch the land using any Fetch Land to give you another options. Nice planeswalker tough...

nah, traumatize is too expensive. if you can fit this card into your manabase, go ahead and do it. He's card advantage!! The turn you play him, you can have each player draw a card. Then for four or five turns after that, you're set to not miss a land drop and bury your opponent under a ton of card advantage (if you're drawing a counterspell and a land/other counterspell each turn, chances are that your opponent won't be able to keep up. if that spell is a cryptic command, well...you've just about won). His last ability is also quite useful. I think Jace might be good in the Sanity Grinding/Twincast (and plumeveil, cryptic command, etc.) deck. He can mill for twenty 24, actually...) and he has two blue in his cost. Awesome!!

Why use traumatize? use rings of brighthearth and copy his -10 ACTIVATED ABILITY for 2 mana, twice. then you win.

Jace is one of the best planeswalkers out right now. Low cost to summon him, fast loyalty, and great effects to work with.

first play jace and get 1o counters on him. while doing that tramatize yourself and get almost all your library into the graveyard, then play leveler for 5 (its a 10/10) and that removes your library from the game then play reminisce to get almost all your library back. then play rule of law, and imprint a counterspell on an isachron scepter next turn... you win

Cheap cost, fast loyalty build up, drawing cards for no mana, late game mill-combo and the best artwork of all the plainswalkers. I love this card!

His +2: always screws me over, so I simply use him as a simple card engine with the -1:, since out of all the Planeswalkers' ultimate abilities I think the 20mill is weakest--then again I'm not a big mill player either.

Just because they printed a better jace doesn't make Jace Beleren a bad card by any means.

Phew... great in multiplayer??? I play "two headed dragon" with my friends, and when I choose to improve his loyality (+2 : each player draws a card) My friends are happy... especially both of my opponents!!! Jace the Mind Sculptor's first ability is better...

it's nice, i mean if you play a blue-black with cards like mind funeral, tome scour, especially megrim, and of course, traumatize. Why i say megrim and jace are a good combo is that first you bring out megrim, then bring out jace, then mop up your opponents tears. the reason why i gave this review only 4 instead of 5 stars is that the second version of jace from worldwake is so much better.

I think this could be mean with Traumatize. You could empty your opponents library pretty quick.

whoa, slow down there jester! anyway jace is good card drawing and the planeswalker most likely to survive in multiplayer, and all the milling decks love him

After they printed Jace the Mind Sculptor or Jace 2.0 this verison became completely useless... Even though they reprinted it in M11 still pretty useless.
