Leyline of Anticipation

This card doesn't have the same effect as "Flash", that is to place the card in play first before trying to pay the casting cost. So no, it doesn't make flash hulk decks any faster or stronger.

The value of this card is so you can save your mana for counter spells when needed and cast the other creatures/enchantments/sorceries at the end of your opponent's turn when they don't cast anything worth countering. Especially useful if you have draw cards like tidings, but don't want to be tapped out. It's great when used by a good blue mage. Unfortunately, other players don't see the value of it.

I use it in a multitude of ways. If I'm being attacked, I will cast something like Wall of Tears or Fog Bank and bounce/soak the creature. Probably one of the best cards of all time in leading your opponent into a trap or simply bluff.

great.... now protean hulk decks just got a lot stronger and faster....
another first turn kill "add on"
dont get me wrong, i love first turn kills,, but when everyone you play has a deck like that... it get old unless you play force of wills or stifle...
i really want to play other colors in vintage....
anyone have any ideas?
