After playing both creatures (in Type 1), I give the nod to her Cleric-sister, Devoted Caretaker. Giving protection from instants & sorceries to ANY permanent is a key advantage over "creatures" only (even though color protection is awesome). Devoted Caretaker handles Sinkhole, Vindicate, Lightning Bolt, Banefire, Swords, Path & Naturalize. Nuff said!
