Awesome card, a most for any vampire deck low casting cost third turn if your lucky, lifelink and deathtouch, its about the only thing that can kill the big 15/15 Eldrazi because of the deathtouch if your running mono black vamp like I am

Well Colin you are incorrect, it has Protection from "Colored Spells" and Vampire Nighthawk is a creature and a permanent, not a spell.

A spell is a card that is currently on the stack, or a card that is being cast from your hand.

So it kills Emrakul, though it is probably still game if an Emrakul attacks you.

Contrary to the above reviewer, he isn't able to kill Emrakul. Emrakul has protection from colored spells, so if emrakul were to attack, you could not block it with the nighthawk. If the nighthawk were to attack, Emrakul could block it without fear of being destroyed. Deathtouch requires damage to be dealt in order to destroy the creature, but since emrakul is pro colored, he would never be dealt damage from any colored creature he blocks.
