Divine Vs. Demonic Duel Deck (MTG)

I just got to use these decks today, and their pretty good. There are some good cards in them, and the decks are mostly balanced. I dueled them 4 times, demonic won 3 of them and almost won the next (if it had 1 more life it would have won next turn). So demonic doesn't seem as underpowered as some people suggested it is. However, both decks have a lot of higher cost monsters, divine seems to get lands more often (at least in my 4 duels) but demonic has cards like dark ritual to help speed up the mana.
So for dueling, the decks are good and mostly balanced, but since there are so many high cost creatures you can have major land/mana problems, which can make some duels one sided. As for the cards, it has some good cards, and you're probably better off buying the whole set unless you only wanted a couple of it's good cards.

I bought these decks to make a great white black deck. It it sort of hard to make the deck but it is a great deal and great cards. I have great ideas for the decks and even want to invest in a few planeswalkers and amp the deck a few modern cards. I got this duel deck set for a cheaper price than an other deal. I will definitely use this web site later to get more magic the gathering cards. For all those people that are complaining, it is a game and it is also meant to be changed around for how you want it to be.

These decks do have a lot of nicer cards and the premade has a good mix of support for playing against each other or any other deck or group. The angels do seem tougher, but the demons deck would win while sitting on the edge of on one hit point due to some really sweet through down cards that would waffle stomp the angels at crucial moments. Demons win 75% when played, but they have to be really really careful how they play.

This set provides a lot of nice cards that'd be more expensive to get as singles. It is a pretty good deal for the money in that way. Also, the black deck is fairly good and could be used for some "kitchen table" games without modification. The biggest complaint I have on this set is that these two decks do not make for very good games when played against each other. I got this so I could play against my girlfriend with evenly balanced decks, but the person who gets the white deck always whens, largely due to the number of pro-black creatures. Black is probably the better deck, but angles win thanks to all of the black hoser cards. I thought the whole point was to have two decks that were for playing against each other. I was disappointed because this product did not meet my needs, but it isn't a bad deal nonetheless.

I am giving thise duel deck three sars simply due to a balance issue. The angelic deck is simply far, far superior to the demonic deck ina every way, shape, and form both in performance and card value. Akroma vs. Lord of the Pit? Come on! There are only three demons in the demonic deck (most are imps). Demonic tutor is about the only black card in this deck thats worth its salt. The angel deck on the other hand is a goody!
