Elves vs. Goblins Duel Deck (MTG)

Recently I got this duel deck and it is quite nice. I only started magic in Nov 09, so many of these cards are ones I never seen before. I do have a goblin deck, but that is standard and I don't think the duel deck uses any cards that mine does except mountains. It is fun to play these duel decks and get to use all the older goblins and elves. It also has a nice assortment of good cards too. The downside is that every time I used it so far, elves have beat goblins. It may be that I am not use to playing the older style goblins or just that elves been getting lucky, but it seems rather consistent.
Still, great product with fun decks and good cards.

I too was plesantly suprised by both the number of rares and the quality of the cards in general. Not too mention this fine website, which will gladly sell you the extra token creatures you will need. The Siege-Gang Commander is Tournament Legal (till 11th breaks, at any rate) a real bonus if you find yourself under the DCI at a shop. Well worth the money, my main regret is that I could afford only one.

As good as this is, you still may be better off buying an Elvish Predation for the elves and adding specific cards.

Nice price considering the number of rares you get (including two foiled rares), and great for fleshing out your elf or goblin deck (I play both, so both decks received some much needed improvements). You also get some cool token cards, although not enough of them. My biggest complaint is that the cards themselves look... strange. It's hard to put my finger on it, but it seems like the colors are a little off, almost like they cranked the contrast up a little too much. Oh well, bottom line is this is a great deal, especially if you were going to buy some of the rares from this set separately.
