My favorite sword, followed closely by Fire & Ice. Love to combo this with ''Aggravated Assault'' or ''Hellkite Charger'' in an EDH of mine.

In my opinion, the second best of the swords cycle, beaten only by fire and ice. Body/Mind and Light/Shadow are good, put not this good. IMO this is a card for control decks. On your turn, swing with an evasive creature equipped with this, your opponent discards a card (CA for you), and you untap all your lands, leaving you with some mana to counter all their spells during their turn. This seems to be the focus of the "Caw-Bade" decks that have been winning tournaments lately

The single best equipment card for Control.... and the single best card to come out of Mirroden Beseiged IMO.

This is one of the best equipments along with Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of Light and Shadow, and Umezawa's Jitte. The ability to untap all lands when the equipped creature deals combat damage to a player is broken, allow you to play another equipment, creatures, and/or some removal spells... I wish it can force the opponent to discard a card at random, but discard a card is allright....

I can't believe no one has reviewed this yet. Easily a 5 star card, especially in a control shell. Being able to have a creatures that dodges black removal and refuses to be blocked by green mana dorks is a huge plus, and to knock out a card AND get your mana pool back on top of it? Really puts the screws to your opponent.

i love all the swords... and this one really messes with counter decks and being able to use all your mana on your first main phase is great, and then being able to use all of it on your second is FANTASTIC!! or just being able to have mana available for instants on your opponents turn.. and the best thing its PRO BLACK AND GREEN.. about 50% of the meta games i play are against black decks and infect... so.. black has the best spot removal now..(red and white i think are second ..because of bolts, blasts, slagstorm, condemn, oust and even despence justice)
i only give this a 4 star rating, because of the white and red removal can destroy this and so can shatter and creeping corrosion and revoke existance... this sword can be easly removed from play..
