Its Super! Thanks for asking
Very useful in Eldrazi Decks. Also cards like soul exchange will let you cheat some. Example: First, you should have free token pumpers. The colors that work best imo are black blue or green. Red and white lack in Eldrazi imo. To each their own. Use a token and a Bog Witch, discard Eldrazi Mon, get 3 Mana, use Soul Exchange, summon Eldrazi Mon discarded. Use Energy Tap, tap Eldrazi play another Eldrazi of cost of N+3 (N being 1st Eldrazi''s CMC). This is a great combo piece. If you like using high cost beefy creatures to pummel your opponent''s face in, this card is amazing. If not, go play a normal blue deck and use this for spell slinging. Either way this card is amazing.

This card is perfect for all of those huge mana cost blue "winner" cards. My personal favorite to use this with is Eternal Dominion.

"Energy Tap" is helpful when U've played "Tinker" to get a "Teeka's Dragon" into play but also have a "Teeka's Dragon" in UR hand and only 3 or 4 lands. With the "Scornful Egotist", "Energy Tap" makes UR "Snake Basket" or "Chimeric Staff" attention getters.-bear-
