Stone Rain has got to be one of the best magic cards ever made. Forget the fact that it has been around since beta and is still type 2. Just think about the effects it can have for your game. Destroy any annoying land that your opponent may have such as a Maze of Ith or just a basic land. No matter what the situation is early in the game and sometimes late, stone rain is a great card to pull.

there are no words to describe the look of your opponent when you start to destroy all his lands... and its twice the fun when its a dual land.

Stone Rain is the most standard printed card WoTC has ever made besides a basic land. It has been printed in more languages, editions, etc. Neat.

i know everyone wants to give props to the beginnings of MTG and go out and buy the foil version of this timeless red spell. but really, the best version out of all the different sets, and one of the best kept secrets, is in 7th edition(foil of course). but i'm not going to take your props from you if you want to go old school.............

well, my face is red. my earlier review for this card still stands with one caveat: this artwork isn't from the first portal set. sorry!
still my favorite though...

the art for this card is my favorite, out of the many choices players have to choose from. this artwork is originally used for the first set of portal and my comic shop sells these 'portal' stone rains for 0.50 cents apiece. getting these same cards in seventh edition foils is the ultimate, but they're hard to find.
