I think you don't give this card enough credit personally. I think its actually pretty good. I mean clone is good, but it cost four mana ya know? so i mean why not have a couple of these in a clone deck? these would definitely suffice until you could get better cloning stuff out. Plus for two you could clone a blistering firecat, or another haste trample creature for a huge hit in one turn, then trash the card next turn. I think this card, and binding grasp should definitely be given the credit it deserves.

This was 'ok' when Clone was gone and this was Standard. But when it made a comeback suddenly this card sucked.
