Wow, I'm surprised there are no comments for this... This works magic with creatures like: Reassembling Skeleton, Nether Traitor, and Bloodghast. Throw in Bridge from Below and Leyline of the Void to protect the Bridge and you can simply rape their hand into nothing.
I think what is most underrated about this card is the fact you can pick "Any" card. Unlike pretty much all other discard spells and abilities, which, most notibly cannot target lands.
