I was just gonna write my review but the person above wrote exactly what I was going too lmao. I have a control mill deck (casual with my friends and family) and they cringe at my blue deck, this would be a welcome addition.

Tip: use cards like spellbook or reliquary tower so you have no maximum handsize. Once you do that, if you have a decent amount of cards to draw cards in your deck, this can outsize anything. The best part is that its its own best freind, when you have one out defending suspend another one so it both are stronger, and with a large hand you are ready for anything. Personaly I use this in a red/blue control deck.

I personally like it. If you are playing a god blue deck with support colors, you can control the field, build up a hand size, then drop this to finish the game easily. Not the best, but fits into certain decks very well.
5 stars because it is cool ;)

the last review is a clear example of a common occurence with a new set, a card is seen as lousy, but later is becomes acknowledged as a good card. This has happened most recently with sulfur elemental and this card, both of which are an integral part of the TS control deck

Combine with Reliquary Tower and Jhoira's Timebug and this can be a tidy addition.

amazing. control decks will have always have the permission to back him up when he resolves, then they cast tidings and time walk and smash a couple of times for the win...for the most part, in blue or blue/black control decks, this card *is* the win condition...and it's a pretty good one...(blue white has akroma) suspending it for 2 or 3 isnt hard with the relic and dreadship reef. suspend 2 of them and mystical teachings (with teferi) for a 3rd one and cast a damnation, then play it...wow!! but 4 stars because if you can kill this card you've won against control a lot of times.

A cool card but most Avatars are never consistent.
