trev here long time magic player... red akroma hmmmmmmmmm i like the idea i just dont like the morph, id rather have haste first strike or vigil, firebreathing is a really niice touch and she cant be countered or bounced, and she has protection from the main flying colours witch makes her an excellent blocker, 5 stars biatch!!

I am a huge fan of the original Akroma and I have to say this is almost as good but not quite. The morph ability is good but I would replace the uncounterable ability with first strike. The original had first strike and it had its uses then. But just think what this new one could do with first stike coupled with firebreathing and trample. But I guess wizards must have had their reasons to water this Akroma down a bit. I still will give it five stars because I love the morph and firebreathing abilities.

Rather good right here, but to make things even tougher on any opponent, she can't be stopped by any of the paraylzing counters that rule everything now adays. The POW doesn't help much, but does make it to were your opponent can't use their white akroma to stop you. The morph is cool, if not a tad iffy at times. All and all a great card. Ohh and to gloat the first few packs i pulled one regular and one foil. Just Sweet.

and two of who knows what else! ;) since she cant be countered, you'll always get her on the field. she doesnt have first strike like the other akroma, but red is notorious for first/double strike. and like rorix and bladewing the risen, there's no disclaimer rule. both can be in play at the same time. couple that with concerted efforts! this akroma is better than the other for one big reason: she has protection from the two main flying colors! only dragons can really stop her! definitely 5 stars!

I think that wizards made this Akroma inferior to the original because there is so much staple and nostalgia to the original Akroma. This Akroma, like the whole time spiral series is meant to flip the script of the magic world and also take us back to the good old days. Seeing cards I remember from when I first started playing this great game really stirred up a lot of good memories for me. I remember back when The Old Akroma came out and a player even dropping it on the table would make a lot of people scoop. Wizards knew that they couldn't release a new Akroma that was better than the old because it would undermine the old Akroma too much and anger too many ppl, so they gave us a cool twist on her to play with and the memories to keep. Although pro white and pro red would make more sense to me. Anyway thanks for reading a rant

You know what's scary? Angel of Fury+Akroma's Memorial. Pro. from every thing except green and artifact. And if you don't think it can be done and done quick then you haven't seen a great standard deck. You have only seen a good one, and no I don't have that combo but it is awesome.

Akroma finally meets Red and it's a great card to screw over that friend with the control deck. But for being a red card, why doesn't it have Haste? Haste and Vigilance we're some of the greater things that the White Akroma had, but they were removed for firebreathing and Morph. The Firebreathing ability is nice, but the Morph seemed like an afterthought. After all, it is much easier to kill a 2/2 vanilla creature than the 6/6 Akroma. With the change in protection colors, it also means this Akroma is weak to all sorts of destruction. So yes, this card is not as good as the original Akroma, but it's still a decent creature nonetheless.

I really wish she had haste and first strike instead of trample and morph. Among old Akroma's abilities, wizard removed the most red-like ones. The best option was to remove vigilance and trample to add uncounterability and firebreath, but I think wizards never meant her to be nearly as powerful as old Akroma. A Shame.

Nice, you can pump it...but here's what all is wong with it: it can be countered as a morph so yeah...; No vigilance; no haste; pro-blue and -white...what's the point of that? She would be better off with pro-red and -black like the original, BETTER Akroma.
I have 2 tho :)
