Skipping your Draw step isn't always a bad thing. And I'm personally biased towards birds, even if they aren't Birds.

Im sure newer players will think this card isnt very good, those that arent familiar with the Gargoyle that it was shifted from wont think exactly how good this card is when combined with mass destruction spells like Jokhaulups, Nevrynal's Disk (I know those were spelled wrong), Akroma's Vengeance and of course Damnation. It especially works well with my Solitary Confinement/Eternal Dragon deck. Its white and blue but this is the only red card in it, no red mana. Discard it to Confinement and see it dive into play next turn. The downside is non-existent thanks to Confinement not allowing you to draw cards.

you can't discard it to Solitary Confinement and then put it into play next turn. Read the card again carefully, When Molten Firebird is put into your graveyard FROM PLAY.
