A great addition to ANY reanimation deck. . .pair it up with explosive vegetation and you can get it out on turn 5 even if you only have 1 swamp and 1 plains in your deck. . . or on turn 6 with diabolic tutor if you dont already have it in your hand. . . .

i think this card is good because in green cards there are lots of serch your libray for for mana cards and in my green deck i have 25 mana and i can get cards that cost 9 mana out in like 5 turns so i think it is a swiked card so i think i could make room for him in one of my decks.

A Pretty Tough EDH General when you consider all of the good removal he allows: Vindicate, Mortify, Putrefy, Maelstrom Pulse...and how easy you can bring back the opponents creatures you kill with these.
Not to mention all of the other gold creatures you can have in your deck.

To the above commentator: Excuse me sir, but I believe you are overwhelmingly incorrect in your statement that Scion of Darkness is an equivalent or even better card than Teneb. First of all, the Scion does not have any evasion abilities. True, it will probably get damage through, but it would just as probably die in the process (how embarassing would it be for your Scion to die to a Tangle Asp?). Second, Teneb can get any creature card in ANY graveyard, while the Scion can only claim a card in the graveyard of the person you hit.

I dont see this guy getting a lot of play in any format, but in reanimation he is going to be big. Although like all ten of these guys they dont offer a lot of controllable mana cost unless your playing with a lot of green and maybe a Joiner adept and a Orochi Leafcaller here and there, but if you can pull it off, i say go for it!! Add in some Sudden Spoilings, Plague winds, wrath of gods + Ghostway, whatever you want to make this guy more effective so you can start taking your opponents dead creatures!!

This blows! A legend that does the same thing as Scion of Darkess...Scion is easier to to utilize its effect, as it already has trample, and cost nothing for the triggered ability. This also lacks cycling so if you can't pay for it you still have to keep this junk in your hand. Get Sword of Light and Shadow and cycle Scion to have a better chance at running through your deck.
