Boros Swiftblade is a potent card early on; his double strike ability is potent alongside pump spells like Brute Force (he swings for 8 damage!), or even Righteousness (he chews up even the biggest creatures with ease!).
Another cool "combo" is when you cast Boros Swiftblade on your second turn, and then cast a Scourge of the Nobilis on him in your third turn - you'll quickly gain loads of life and crash in for big damage on the folowing turns.

Nice card if you have Gratuitous Violence in play and then play Fists of the Anvil and he do 20 damage.
