One of the best blockers. It can block four creatures without getting any damage. Just block, then sacrafice them back to Pentavus. How annoying!

In the Elspeth vs. Tezzeret duel deck, this card combos extremely well with Tezzeret's ultimate. Use Pentavus to make a lot of flying Pentavite tokens, and then turn those tokens into 5/5 creatures with Tezzeret's ultimate and swing for the win. Even better when you have Energy Chamber on the battlefield to provide Pentavus with more +1/+1 counters for more fliers.

It should be a backbone for a-lot of artifact decks. it's versatility makes it good with combos like power conduit and clockwork cards

Mix with lighting coils, energy chamber and power conduit. With this you serve a happy helping of PAIN.

pentavus is good, but it costs seven mana. Also, I don't want to pay 1 mana and romove a +1/+1 counter from it just for a 1/1 with flying, if the abilities were free, this card would be totally awesome!-but they aren't
