this is probably the best of the "When this enters the battlefield return a corresponding colored creature back to your hand" in the cycle, especially with the new M10 rules. Basically pay 1 life after you declare something "Blocked" to negate any damage that creature would do that turn, unless it has trample, or if it would simply be targeted with removal. It's return effect works quite well with Sage of Epityr, Augury Owl, Nekrataal, etc. And, since it's also U you can run with Leyline of Anticipation just to be a dou-che'.

Can be a mean, tricky defender--one hard creature for your opponents to get rid of. Moreover, when coupled with Ravenous Rats (from the Invasion expansion), it is one half of a mean discard combination that will leave your opponents feeling extremely frustrated.
