Steel Leaf Paladin's cost is normally way too high to justify its abilities. However, it can be used to bounce an unwanted or negatively enchanted creature back to your hand (or your opponents, should you happen to control them). I personally wouldn't use them.

This creature's mana cost is much too expensive to afford having him in your deck. I often wonder what the folks at WOC were thinking when they decided to rob the green/white color-combo with this gating creature. The Paladin is by far the most expensive gating creature in the Planeshift expansion. If you can ever get him in play, though (especially with an Armadillo Cloak on him), he can be one mean creature to tackle in creature-to-creature combat.
